So this post is for sure different than any other post I have done. During recovery your body will change a lot day in and day out. After eating and especially the re-feeding stage, the bloat is inevitable. I would struggle to fit into my jeans after meals and that honestly made mealtime worse, that impending dread of having my belly swell up. Today, I thought I might share some good outfits for recovery. Honestly, I lived (and still do) in yoga leggings because they expand and allow some room to grow. Also, looser shirts paired with scarves and cute jackets are a must! This link http://www.theteacherdiva.com/2015/09/from-barre-to-brunch.html has some really good examples! I used a lot of the outfits from here as inspiration. _ If you want to wear jeans, I would suggest investing in either jeggings or in a good pair of boyfriend jeans! Boyfriend jeans are super cute but also very comfortable on days when you are just feeling bleh. They too, like leggings, allow some extra space and can last you through recovery! Ok, so obviously you can't ALWAYS wear leggings and workout tights to nicer events and so if you have a nice dinner or a date or a function to go to, you can still be comfortable during recovery! What I did was buy tighter body-con type dresses and I wore sweaters over them and made them look like skirts! Occasionally, I would wear a shirt and belt it a certain way to give the illusion of a skirt and blouse ( that idea is straight from Pinterest!) This is the perfect example of how I wanted to dress because of all the bloat. This is totally fine to wear but if you feel like you can't wear cute clothes and be comfortable, I just want to say YOU CAN! Each and everyone of you are beautiful and if you like to dress like this you can, but if you feel like you can't dress cute just because you are feeling bloated or not loving your body, you can! I promise :) For me, if I felt like an outfit I was wearing was cute, I noticed recovery that day felt a little bit more manageable.
Love y'all! Sophie Wilk
